DDC meet held at Doda, Chairman asks Deptts to consult PRIs before proposing new works

Doda :  District Development Council Doda met on Monday in the Conference Hall of DC office complex under the chairmanship of District Development Council Chairman, Dhananter Singh Kotwal.

Block Development Council Chairpersons and District Development councillors put forth and discussed various issues of public importance in the meeting.

Issues regarding held up roads and other projects, timely completion of taken up projects, minimising power cuts, establishment of new grid stations, augmentation of existing PDD infrastructure, erection of crash barriers on roads, release of pending payments and other issues and bottlenecks hampering the achievements under various developmental schemes were discussed in detail.

Some of the issues were addressed by the officers on the spot.

Officers of the Line department present in the meeting were asked to note down and come up with the redressal of the issues in the shortest possible time.

The CEO of the Council (ADDC), Pran Singh has been entrusted with the task of getting the response from the concerned departments compiled and presented before the Council along with his comments/ remarks.

The Chairman expressed grief over loss of previous lives in recent road accidents. Two minute silence was observed in the beginning for those who lost their lives in the road accidents.

He directed the concerned officers to work in coordination and consult BDC Chairpersons, DDC Councillors and PRIs before proposing new works under different heads and while facing issues in the execution of development projects.

He further urged the departments to complete paperwork and start the execution of projects approved under different developmental schemes/ heads to utilize the working season optimally for creation of public utility/ assets by using the approved funds.

The Chairman asked the officers to ensure their presence in the Council meeting and refrain from deliberate absence.

The meeting was attended by DDC Vice Chairperson Sangeeta Rani; BDC Chairpersons, DDC Councillors, ADDC (CEO of the Council) DodaPran Singh, SE PMGSY, SE JPDCL, SE Hydraulics Doda, CPO Doda, ACD Doda, DIO DIPR, CMO Doda, DYSSO Doda, EXns of PWD, PMGSY, and other concerned officers and officials.
