DC Sgr reviews Sector Wise Physical/Financial status of Works under Distt Capex Plan

Srinagar : In order to review the physical and financial status of the works taken up under District Capex Plan 2022-23 in the District, a meeting of all Sectoral/District Officers was on Saturday held under the Chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad AijazAsad here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.

Besides, Additional District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Zahoor Ahmad Mir and Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Yaseen Lone, the meeting was attended by all District/Sectoral Officers, Engineers and other concerned.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of funds released and expenditure incurred under R&B, PHE, Education, Health, RDD PMGSY, NRLM, ICDS and other sectors, besides progress of works taken up under DDC, BDC and PRI grants were also discussed in threadbare.

The DC after taking sector wise review of all works directed the officers to ensure 100 percent expenditure in the set time line by accelerating the pace of the works scheduled for completion during the current year. He directed the officers to work in coordinated manner with line Departments to achieve development goals well in time keeping in view the limited working season.

The DC also exhorted for mobilizing men and machinery for completing the projects being implemented in the larger interest of the public in stipulated time frame besides urged to ensure productive and fruitful utilization of the available resources.

The DC asked all the line Departments to ensure timely submission of works bills to concerned Treasuries. While Treasury Officers were asked to clear all bills on time.

The DC also asked the RDD officers to ensure judicious utilization of funds and achieve target under stipulated time with visible impact on works on ground.

On the occasion, the DC was apprised that under District Capex, total 697 works were taken up out of which 307 works have been completed while rest of works are going on.

Similarly, under Centrally Sponsored Schemes, 176 works were taken up out of which 57 works were completed. While 15 works taken up under NABARD sector one is completed and remaining works are being carried out in the District.

The DC was further informed that against the approved funds of 27.91 crore, an expenditure of Rs 11.75 crore has been made so far by achieving 41.45% percent of the target for year 2022-23.

The DC was informed that under NRLM, 100 percent, ICDS/Mid-day meals over 96% and JJM, 90%, target has been achieved in the District so far.

The meeting also reviewed the progress of works achieved under the Area Development Plan.

The DC also stressed on intensifying cleanliness under ‘SwachhGrameen’ initiative and asked officers to give due priority with active involvement of respective PRIs in every Block. He asked them to ensure the door to door collection in each village and identification of dumping sites for segregation of waste.
