DC Doda reviews rates of Minor Minerals at DLTFC meet, Seeks strict implementation of notified rates at source  

Committee constituted to report on revision of rates, environmental issues, allocation of quarries

Doda :  Deputy Commissioner, Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajanon Friday chaired a meeting of District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) to review the performance of Geology and Mining Department and to fix the sale price of minor minerals (raw material) and processed minerals.

The meeting held threadbare discussion with regard to the fixation of sale price of sand, Nallahbajri, Nallah boulders, Nallamukh RBM, crushing stone, aggregate assorted size ranging between 10mm to 63mm, crushed washed sand and crushed dust. The committee as well as stakeholders agreed on the existing rates fixed by DLTFC last year except that of crusher Bajri for which the crushers have to get raw material from outside the premises of their unit.

Later, the District Mineral Officer briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the present status of the mining blocks in the district. The DC constituted a Committee comprising of Ex En PWD, Ex En PMGSY, Ex En I&FC, Ex En Mechanical and Ex En JSD to review and propose revision of rates, if required.

The Committee shall also report about the effect of Hot Mixing plants and stone Crushers on the environment and availability of new locations of Quarries in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner who is also Chairperson of DLTFC directed the concerned officers to implement the rates of minor minerals at source in letter and spirit so that common people and the stakeholders do not face the brunt of exorbitant rates. He ordered the stakeholders to sell their products with proper bills on approved rates which shall be monitored regularly and any deviation in this regard shall be dealt with seriously. The DC emphasized upon the concerned agencies to strengthen the mechanism of checking illegal excavation of sand and other minerals from river beds.

SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, ACD DodaPhulail Singh, ACP/ ACR DodaAshfaqKhanji, District Mineral Officer Doda, DIO Doda, Executive Engineer I&FC, Ex En PMGSY, Divisional Officer PCC Doda, representatives of AD Fisheries and DFO Doda, and other concerned stakeholders were present in the meeting.
