G N  Adfarّ’s third  volume of  “ Alchemy of light ” released

Book comprises Urdu- English translation of rare of the rarest verses of Shiekh-ul-Alam ( RA)

Chrar-e-Sharief (B’gam) : Third  volume of the “ Alchemy of light ” comprising English and Urdu translation of the verses of revered sufi saint Hazrat Sheikh Noor- ud- Din Wali ( RA) was on Wednesday released . The book contains some rarer of the rarest verse of the saint which were unexplored till now.
Markaz Adab-w-Saqafat (KMAS) held an impressive function near santum sanctorum of the sufi saint at Chrar-i- Sharief – the heavenly abode of Alamdar- e- Kashmir (torch bearer of Kashmir). The function was attended by a galaxy of prominent writers, research scholars, poets, religious luminaries and people from cross sections of the society. The event was presided by the noted scholar and Head Markazi Noor, Shiekh-ul-Alam Chair, Kashmir University, Prof. G.N Khaki.  Prominent writers  Dr Gh Nabi Haleem , President Adbi Markaz Kamraz ,Mohd.Amin Bhat and  Advocate Ab Rashid Hanjura  shared the presidium.  Proceedings of the event started with recitation of holly Quranic verses by Mirwaiz Khankah Jamia ,Chrar-i-Sharief , Molvi Amir Ud- Din Waiz.   S.S P Budgam Tahir Saleem, Chairman Life School and several others also attended the function.
Welcoming the guests author of the book  Gh. Nabi Adfar  dwelt in detailed   on the main objective of the publication , said  multilingual phraseology used in  Sheikh-ul-Alam’s poetry was  a highly loaded  text with complex  Saniskrit ,Persian ,Arabic and Kashmiri words ,that could not be assimilated easily  So  the book series “ Alchemy of light ” comprising translation of each verse of Hazrat Sheikh Noor- Ud -Din Wali (RA) into Urdu and English languages is expected to go a long way to decipher various unexplored facets of the  life of this most prominent Sufi saint ,which have hither to remained concealed in the mist of fiction and tell tales . “The present volume, which is the collection of verses of Islamic jurisprudence ,contains rare of the rarest verses , Adfar maintained . He sid first volume of the series of, Alchemy of light”was released in 2011 and second volume in 2013 and hoped these books would facilitate the budding students, research scholars , writers and preachers understand real essence of the poetry of Sheikh Noor-Ud-Din (RA).
Prof Khaki in his presidential address said that Sheikh Noor Ud Din Noorani (Sheikh ul Aalam) RA is unique legend of Kashmir, unmatched for centuries, who transformed the ideology, culture and tradition of this land .Sheikh used poetry as a vehicle to spread the word of Allah to common masses in their own language and tone.    In his remarks M Amin Bhat said poetry of Hazrat Shiekh is vividly tinted with the admonitions, suggestions, instructions and good tidings derived from the holy Quran and Ahadith. Whereas Prof.  Haleem said that Sheikh Noor Din Wali was one of the most revered and beloved Sufi-saints that have ever lived in Kashmir. He said Shaikh used his poetry as a vehicle to spread the word of Allah to common masses just as done by Maulana Rumi (RA). in their own language and tone. Ali Ahsan presented thought provoking research paper on the publication “Alchemy of Light”. General Secretary, Inayat Gul conducted proceedings of the event.
