Shopian : The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Manzoor Hussain on Wednesday presided over a public outreach camp at Block Imam Sahib Zainapora under the weekly Block Diwasprogramme.
Various issues were raised by PRI members and locals, including inadequate water supply, renovation of roads, upgradation of schools, better health services besides various other issues related to their area were discussed.
The ADDC gave a patient hearing to the issues raised during the meeting and assured them of early redressal of all their demands.
He directed the officers and officials of different departments to play a proactive role in fulfilling developmental requirements of the rural masses.
ADDC said that the District Administration is making persistent efforts to ensure all amenities are provided to the common masses.
He issued instructions to the concerned officers for fast track completion of all ongoing projects, especially projects catering to rural development, health and basic amenities.
He appealed to the people and PRIs to cooperate with the Administration to achieve new heights in terms of development in the district and stressed for making the best use of funds provided to each Panchayat.
Officers and officials from Horticulture Department, Sheep Husbandry Department, Irrigation, Jal Shakti, KPDCL and others were present.
