Srinagar : Police on Monday claimed to have arrested 3 persons and seized 3 vehicles in Budgam.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a police party of Police Station Chadoora during night patrolling at Qaisarmilla Chadoora seized 3 vehicles (01 JCB Machine, 2 Tippers) and arrested 3 persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals from government land at Qasermilla.
Stating that the accused arrested have been identified as Towseef Ahmad Mir S/o Ghulam Hassan Mir R/o Awanpora Chadoora, Manzoor Ahmad Khan S/o Ab Aziz R/o Bugam Batpora and Khursheed Ahmad Thokar S/o Gh Nabi Thokar R/o KakoringCharar-i-sharief. Police in it’s statement further said that a case vide FIR No. 186/2022 was registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Chadoora and investigation taken up.
In a concluding para of the statement, police said that people found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt with as per law and appealed people to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
