Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested the father of the accused juvenile who is involved in a hit-and-run case for allowing to drive the vehicle in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Police have arrested the main accused (Juvenile) involved in the hit-and-run case at Hakermulla area of Budgam. However, during the course of investigation, it surfaced that the accused is minor and did not possess a valid licence.
Subsequently, Police on Sunday arrested the father of the juvenile accused identified as Nazir Ahmad Hajam under relevant sections of law for allowing his minor son to drive the vehicle, a police statement said.
Pertinently, a speeding Auto Load Carrier hit a 15-year-old girl in Hakermulla area of Budgam and fled the spot. However, within three hours of the crime, the vehicle involved in the commissioning of crime was seized and the driver was arrested, police added.
