Weekly Block Diwas held at 5 locations across Doda Distt

ADDC listens to people’s issues at Malwana West, Deptts asked to make available all essential utilities to public in winters

Doda :  Continuing its efforts to resolve the public grievances at their doorsteps and reach out to the last man in the last row, District Administration Dodaon Wednesday held weekly Block Diwas at five different locations under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan.

ADDC, Pran Singh, presided over the Block Diwas program at HSS Gundna, Malwana West of Gundna Tehsil along with other district officers.

Chairman Block Development Council GundnaSarshadNatnoo, PRIs of the area and a large number of locals attended the program.

The PRIs and public of the area put forth several demands which included meeting shortage of Staff and  additional accommodation for GHSS Gundna, Realignment of Kuhulgwar to Gundna NABARD road via WaniPura.

The ADDC directed PWD and PMGSY to expedite  the execution of road and other projects for early benefit to  the public.

About the under construction PHC building Tantna, which was started in 2008 and is still incomplete, the Health Department was directed to submit a detailed report.

The ADDC also directed for early completion of all the projects approved under different schemes in block within the given time frame. He issued instructions to the concerned authorities to keep their men and machinery ready to make available all essential utilities to the public during the winters.

The ADDC also interacted with students of GHSS and educated them regarding NashaMukht Bharat Abhiyan, Swachta campaign and Plastic free PanchayatAbhiyaan.

The ADC Bhadarwah attended the Block Diwas meeting at Rewarapanchayat of Tehsil Bhalla, while SDMs were also present at their already located places to address the public grievances.

At other designated locations, the day-long Block Diwas proceedings were witnessed. Public and PRIs put forth a range of issues/ demands. They demanded augmentation of water supply and electricity, macadamization of roads, meeting dearth of staff in schools and hospitals, up-gradation of schools, banking facilities in rural areas, release of pending wages under MGNREGA etc.

The Presiding officers of the Block Diwas gave a patient hearing to the issues and demands and directed the concerned officers to prepare a list of issues/grievances raised pertaining to their departments and resolve the same at an earliest.
