Srinagar : Chairman JK Peoples Democratic Front ( JKPDF) and former Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has sought  personal intervention of Home Minister Amit Shah to ensure implementation of various  assurances given to the people of Jammu and Kashmir about thier  socio- political emancipation adding that the   bureaucracy  was  totally non serious towards bridging the gaps between people and centre. He said despite many  promises made  by the Prime Minister Narindra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for socio-  political transformation of Jammu and kashmir , nothing has  fructified so far and nothing was visible on ground adding that  need of the hour was to  fulfill all  the promises made to the people of jammu and  kashmir at the earliest.
According to a statement issued from the party headquarters Hakeem while addressing PDF workers and deputationists from Kachwari Khansahib in central district Budgam on Wednesday   urged Home Minister to personally oversee implementation of various promises made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir about their socio- political emancipation adding that in absence of a civilian government , bureaucracy seems to be non serious  to meet the aspirations of the people. He said slogans  of PM Narindra Modi  about removing ,,“Dil Ki Doori and Dili say Doori ” and the promise made by Home Minister about restoration of statehood  needs to be given a practical shape without any delay.
PDF Chairman strongly pleaded for holding early assembly elections in jammu and kashmir to remove prevailing socio- economic uncertainty and to instill accountability in bureaucratic hierarchy and administrative set up . “There was an urgent need to establish an elected civilian government in Jammu and Kashmir so that elected public representatives could take responsibility to redress peoples grievances and meet thier urges and aspirations, Hakeem said adding that early elections would go a long way in bridging the prevailing disconnect between bureaucracy and the people. He said people of Jammu and Kashmir want protection to  thier constitutional rights especially on land and employment rights besides restoration of statehood . ,“ The sooner , statehood was restored and assembly elections held in Jammu and Kashmir , the better it would be in the larger interests of the  country and people of Jammu and Kashmir ,“ PDF Chairman observed adding that these Confidence Building Measures (CBMs ) would go a long way to remove prevailing alienation among the people . He said the onerous task before the Centre was to bring youth of Jammu and Kashmir under  the fold of mainstream which could be achieved by providing them special employment quota in the central goverment departments . He said Jammu and Kashmir being a geographically disadvantageous location ,where industries and private sectors were almost non existent , there was an urgent need to earmark special job package for the youth so that they could be protected from the destruction of drug menace and  exploitation  of the  enemies of peace .

event concluded with felicitation awards to the meritorious students and research interns of the SMMCN&MT.
