DC Kishtwar discusses, finalises Local Area Dev Plan under Kiru HEP

Kishtwar : Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr DevanshYadav on Wednesday visited Hydroelectric Power Project Kiru, Nagseni and chaired a meeting with the local PRIs ,project authorities and Officers of line Departments to discuss and finalise the  Local Area Development Plan under Rehabilitation and Resettlement Plan of Kiru Hydroelectric Power Project.

Chairman, BDC Nagseni, Mohammad Ashraf Choudhary; DDC member Nagseni Faisal Ahmed; CEO Kishtwar Development Authority, Inderjeet Singh Parihar; HOP Kiru HEP, Rajinder Prasad; ACD, AtulDutt Sharma; TehsildarNagseni, MajidJehangir; DYSSO, KharatiLal Sharma; CAO, AmjedHussain Malik; BDO NagseniAnjil Singh, besides the representatives of PWD,RDD, Revenues, PHE attended the meeting.

The meeting was apprised about the component wise funds available under the RR plan for the up-gradation of Educational facilities and Skill Development, infrastructure development and public utilities besides Social welfare schemes for the project affected families (PAFs) of Kiru HEP.

The meeting discussed Panchayat wise requirements and approved to incorporate the same under the Local Area Development Plan as per the suggestions and recommendation of PRI and locals.

The concerned departments were directed to formulate DPRs for the projects for their early execution.

Meanwhile, the PRI highlighted different demands seeking up-gradation of the infrastructure in schools, health and other public facilities.

The major demands highlighted by PRIs included the electrification of left out habitations of ChichaNagseni and adjoining areas of SazarPaddar, construction of Panchayat Hall at Piyas, completion of PMGSY Roads undertaken in phase IV and NHPC Bridge, renovation and commissioning of Irrigation Canal at Chicha and Galhar, renovation of PanchayatGhar at Galhar, repair of Inspection-Hat at Galhar, fencing and additional Classrooms at GHS Galhar and GMS Chingnana, expediting the repair work of GPS Bunyal and GHSS Ohli, sanction of new PanchayatGhar at Piyas, up-gradation of building at PHC Kiru, construction of Boundary wall of GHS Patherneki, Tehsil Complex office at Nagseni etc.

Deputy Commissioner, after a patient hearing, assured them that their genuine demands will be fulfilled in a time bound manner.

On the issue of construction of tehsil complex for Nagseni, the DC directed the concerned tehsildar to identify the land and prepare DPR.

Besides, a number of directions were also passed to concerned departments for redressing the grievances and issues raised by local PRIs in the meeting.
