Poonch : ParkashPurab of Shri Guru Nanak DevJi is being celebrated with religious devotion and great reverence here at Gurdwara Singh SabhaPoonch on Tuesday.
The samagam was organized under the supervision of MahantManjit Singh Ji of SheromaniDeraSantpuraNangali Sahib Poonch.
After the accomplishment of Shri Akhand Path, the Gurbani Kirtan was recited by HazuriRagi Baba Bakala, Amritsar, BhaiHarjeet Singh, Principal Rajinder Singh, and local RagiJathas, BhaiHarcharan Singh, Rasmeet Singh, Rajinder Singh, Bupinder Singh, and others.
Similar samagams were held in all Gurdwara of the district.
This auspicious Day marks the birth of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak DevJi, who laid the foundation of Sikhism. This year marks the 553rd birth anniversary of Guru Nanak DevJi.
The President of GurudwaraPrabandhak Committee Poonch, Narinder Singh, threw light on the life and teachings of Shri Guru Nanak DevJi. He elaborated on the universal relevance of Teachings of Guru Ji and for leading a peaceful and spiritual life.
General Secretary, S.Harcharan Singh conducted the proceedings of the programme and also threw light on the life history of Shri Guru Nanak DevJi.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Dr.Basharat Hussain paid obeisance at Gurdwara Singh SabhaPoonch where he conveyed his greetings to the devotees on the Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak DevJi.
Ex MLC, ShanazGhanai extended her heartiest greetings to all fellow citizens, especially the brothers and sisters of Sikh community. In her message, she said that Guru Nanak DevJi spread the message of EkOmkar, which means God is one and present everywhere.
DyspHqr, Nawaz Chowdhary, SHO Poonch, Ranjeet Singh Rao also paid obeisance at Gurdwara Sahib.
Preacher, BhaiRavinder Singh, Rajinder Singh, Surjan Singh, Prof. Nama Singh and others threw light on the life history of Shri Guru Nanak DevJi and said that Shri Guru Granth Sahib is a sacred Granth that leads humanity in every aspect of life.
After the Ardas, the MahantManjeet Singh Ji read the sacred Hukamnama. He congratulated the people, especially the Sikh community on this occasion and also threw light on the life history of Guru Nanak DevJi.
