Srinagar : Police Saturday said that it has solved a theft case in Budgam by arresting 2 accused persons involved in commission of crime and recovered stolen property from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters, Srinagar Police said “on May 17 this year Police Station Chadoora received a written complaint wherein it was stated that some thieves entered into premises of two factories titled ‘Bhat Fabrication & Rice Puff Factory’ at Malik Bagh Kralpora and stole some Machinery equipment”.
Stating that a case vide FIR No. 88/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered and investigation was initiated, Police in it’s above referred statement further said that immediately after receiving the clear inputs, an investigating team was constituted and after strenuous efforts one accused person identified as Bilal Ahmad Dar @Bilal Khar S/o Abdul Ahad Dar R/o Bilal Colony Qamarwari (A/P Shaltang) Srinagar was arrested.
Police in it’s statement furthermore said that on disclosure of Bilal Ahmad Dar one more accused person identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad KhandyS/o Ghulam Mohammad KhandyR/o Bilal Colony Qamarwari was also arrested, Stating therein further that on their joint disclosure, stolen property including 01 Gas cylinder, 01 Stabilizer, 01 cutter, 04 boxes of Welding electric rods and some Copper wire have been recovered from their possession.
“Further investigation into the matter is going on. More arrests and recoveries are expected”, the statement reads.
