Srinagar: Former Union Minister and Senior Congress leader Prof. Saif Ud Din Soz and President J&K Apni Party Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari in their separate condolence statement on Saturday condoled the demise of former Minister and MLA Langate-Handwara Abdul Gani Mir after a brief spell of illness.
In his statement, Soz said “I knew him personally a persons who had served the people of Langate and Handwara, as the MLA and Minister to the best of his ability”. Soz also offered condolences to the bereaved family, particularly to Mr. Tanveer Ahmad Mir, Advocate Supreme Court of India.
Meanwhille, President J&K Apni Party Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari also expressed his deep grief over the demise of former minister Abdul Gani Mir, who passed away on Saturday after a brief spell of his illness. In his condolence message Bukhari said, “I am deeply saddened to hear about the death of AdbulGani Mir Sahib, a noble soul, who spent his entire life serving people.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to his son Dr. Jameel Mir, his daughter Dr. Shaheen, Dr. Tramboo, a renowned Cardiologist, and the other bereaved family members.” He also said “In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with the bereaved family and I pray to the Almighty to give them enough strength to bear this inconsolable and irreparable loss.” He prayed for the departed soul and said “May Almighty Allah bless the departed soul in eternal peace.”
