Srinagar : Police on Friday said that it has recovered a missing mother-child duo from Rajasthan who had gone missing from their home.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said Police Station Budgam on October 29 received a written complaint from a resident of Chandpora Budgam where in he claimed that his sister and her two year old daughter went missing since October, 27 and police accordingly registered a missing report at Police Station Budgam and search was initiated.
Stating that a special Police team under the supervision of SHO PS Budgam was constituted to trace out the mother-daughter duo, Police in it’s above referred statement further said that the special team raided various locations following inputs and after strenuous efforts the special team traced out the missing duo from Rajasthan and subsequently brought them to Budgam safely.
In the concluding para of the above referred statement, Police said that after fulfilling all legal formalities, the mother-daughter duo was handed over to their family but, investigation into the matter is still going on.
