Doda Admin hosts Vigilance Awareness Prog

Doda :  As part of ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week, an awareness/ sensitisation programme was held on Friday in the Conference Hall of DC office complex Doda.

District Development Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, in his presidential address, pointed out that Corruption erodes the trust of the public on government machinery. “It also wastes our taxes and leads to inflation on basic necessities,” he added. He urged all the DVOs to keep vigil on the subordinate staff and explore the possibility of installation of CCTV cameras in all the government offices.

SSP Doda, Abdul Qayoom, while briefing the officers on the topic said that Corruption, Nepotism and Favouritism were the result of immoral and unethical mindset of some of public servants. “Public servants being part of the society must do their duty to eradicate the evil of Corruption to provide a better and prosperous future to their future generations,” he added.

Mushtaq Ahmed, SP Anti Corruption Bureau Jammu, discussed the importance of a Corruption free society. “Corruption in any of its forms is an impediment in the overall development of the system and the society,” he said. He elaborated that the theme of this year Vigilance Awareness Week is “Corruption Free India for a Developed Nation.”

Earlier, CPO Anti Corruption Bureau Jammu, Rohit Gupta gave a powerpoint presentation and elaborated in detail the forms, causes and repercussions of Corruption in the society. He also deliberated on the laws and rules dealing with the Corruption and procedures undertaken to deal with this menace.

Programme was officiated by District Vigilance Officer (ADC) DodaDr Ravi Kumar Bharti and team of ACB Jammu headed by Mushtaq Ahmed SP ACB. The programme was attended by ADC Bhaderwah, ACR Doda, SDM Thathri, SDM, Assar, ACD Doda, DTO Doda, DYSSO Doda, ARTO Doda, CEO Doda, CAHO Doda, and other District and sectoral Officers.
