Budgam : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, S F Hamid on Wednesday chaired a meeting of officers to take a review of the progress of the Ring Road project in the district.
On the occasion, the DC directed all the stakeholders to expedite the work process to ensure timely completion of the project. NHAI gave a detailed presentation about the project.
The District Mineral officer was directed to allow only those vehicles who are registered for legal excavation and lifting of earth soil. He also directed to seize illegal vehicles and lodge FIRs against violators.
The DC directed NHAI representatives to get proper NOCs from Forest department, PHE, Irrigation Department, PDD Department, DMO and other concerned departments before the execution of work. He asked NHAI representatives to share Feasibility report with the District Administration in terms of transport and assessment for coordination.
He said all the stakeholders involved in the execution of the project must act keeping in view the larger interest of the public and the benefits which the project will bring to the district.
The meeting among others was attended by ADC Budgam, Additional SP Budgam, SE Hydraulics, DMO, Ex. Engineers of Irrigation and PHE, District Horticulture officer and authorities from NHAI and other district officers.
