Budgam : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, S F Hamid on Wednesday visited Chadoora Town to take on spot stock of winter preparations and availability of essential services to the general public.
During the tour, DC stressed on making all preparations in advance to ensure scheduled electricity supply, timely repairing of damaged transformers, availability of buffer stock of transformers and restoration works of WSS on war footing.
Stressing on maintaining proper sanitation and cleanliness in all areas of Chadoora, the DC directed for proper garbage disposal and management of both solid and liquid waste.
He instructed concerned to ensure saturation in construction of soakage and compost pits, segregation sheds and dumping sites in all urban and rural areas.
The DC also took stock of traffic management and emphasized on proper regulation of the transport and directed concerned to take strict action against roadside parking resulting in traffic jams.
Meanwhile, DC also gave instructions for conducting regular market checking drives to ensure implementation of the official rate list and sale of safe food items in all markets.
SDM Chadoora and Executive Officer Municipal Committee Chadoora also accompanied the DC during the visit.
