Bhadarwah : The third round of fourth phase of ambitious ‘Back to Village’ program phase IV (B2V4) concluded on Wednesday in 79 panchayats while fourth and last round commenced in 10 panchayats under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan.

Principal Secretary, Power Development Department (PDD), H Rajesh Prasad, who was Visiting Officer for Chinote Panchayat of Bhaderwah block, Wednesday inspected the stalls of various departments and Self Help Groups.

He laid foundation stone for Water Supply Scheme, Shankoja under JJM at an estimated cost of Rs 249.16 lakh. He also inaugurated tile work in panchayatChinote and distributed sanctioned letters of Power tillers, Water Harvesting tanks besides Power sprayers of Horticulture department among the beneficiaries. He also handed over sanctioned letters under PMEGP scheme to the unemployed youth to start their own livelihood. He gave Carom board to the senior citizens at Dakbunglow, Bhaderwah.

Principal Secretary listened to issues and demands raised by Sarpanch, Panchs and the general public of Chinote Panchayat. He assured that their all issues shall be taken up with concerned authorities for redressal.

Principal Secretary also launched ADBHUT Doda, a unique initiative of District Administration which aims at achieving 100% saturation, both quantitatively and qualitatively, in education, tourism, healthcare, entrepreneurship, sanitation, water conservation, community building and youth related issues. He was informed that departments involved shall be given a timeline to achieve the desired results, measurable through set parameters.

Prasad said that the locally produced raw material used in indigenous entrepreneurship added with tourism sector has a huge potential in lifting up the economy and livelihood of the area.

During the 3rd round of B2V-4, the Visiting Officers conducted multiple activities in all the 79 Panchayats.

The officers visited various Government offices, Schools, CSCs, Play Grounds, Anganwadi Centres, Tourist places, Banks etc. They also visited Amrit  Sarovars in their respective panchayats.

The officers interacted with the PRIs and the public along with officials from line departments. They also talked about self employment scheme sponsored by various government departments besides explaining about special initiatives launched by the government and district administration including Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan, Swacch Gaon Sunder Gaon, Innovation Challenge etc.

Besides, many rural assets including Rural Haat and other RDD assets were inaugurated, land passbooks, Golden Health Cards and E- Shram cards were distributed among the beneficiaries. Special Gram Sabhas were held and public demand and issues were noted by the visiting officers.
