Rajouri : Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University celebrated National Unity Day with patriotic fervour. The event was held to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.
On the occasion, Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice Chancellor of BGSB University paid rich tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who was instrumental in keeping India united. Prof. Akbar said that the observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas among a large number of students, faculty and staff of the University has provided an opportunity to reaffirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to stand united for the integrity and security of our country.
The occasion commenced with the pledge-taking ceremony in various teaching and non-teaching departments of the University. The pledge-taking ceremony was followed by the ‘ Run for Unity’ organised by the University. On the occasion, a digital exhibition was also organised to make students aware of the great works of Sardar Patel and the importance to maintain the nation’s unity.
