Jammu : Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau is observing Vigilance Awareness Week from October 31 to November 6 beginning from Monday and this year, the theme of the week is “Corruption free India for a developed Nation”.
According to a statement issued from ACB headquarters Jammu, the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week commenced with the administering of the integrity pledge by Sh. Anand Jain, IPS, Director Anti Corruption Bureau at ACB Hqrs. Jammu to the officers and officials of Anti Corruption Bureau. All officials were present on the occasion. In an exclusive interview on Doordarshan Sh. Abdul Waheed Shah, AIG(Hqrs) of ACB Hqrs. deliberated about the importance of Vigilance Awareness week.
Meanwhile in Srinagar, Rakesh Kumar, SSP, ACB Anantnag along with SP Zahoor Ahmad, SSP ACB Srinagar and Ayaz Ahmed Sheikh, SSP ACB Baramulla, administered pledge to officers and officials of ACB Kashmir at old Secretariat complex, Srinagar.
The Departmental Vigilance Officers (DVOs) of Government Departments across J&K have also administered pledge to officials in their respective departments.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau J&K has chalked out a week long programme of organising seminars at different educational institutions during the “Vigilance Awareness Week”. Police Station ACB Srinagar organized a seminar at National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Ompora, Budgam. Sh. Zahoor Ahmad, SSP ACB Srinagar along with other officers of ACB, delivered presentations, on the occasion. They spoke on the menace of corruption and how everyone can contribute its bit in the direction and eradicate corruption from the society. The speakers stressed upon the audience to contribute towards making India corruption free.
In a concluding para of the above referred statement, the official said that the Police Station ACB Rajouri held a seminar in the Conference Hall of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri in presence of the officers/officials of other departments of District Rajouri. During the seminar, lectures were delivered by InsprShrikantParihar, Inspr Punjab Singh and InsprManinder Singh of ACBJ among the masses on prevention of corruption. During the course of seminar, the team of ACB also interacted with the participants including students and faculty members of the University & general public gathered and sensitized them for lodging the complaints against such activities.
