Srinagar : Terming the decision of the government to provide only 5 kgs of rice per household per month at ration depots as harsh , anti poor and unjustified , Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Front (JKPDF) has said that the consumers have been forced to purchase food grains from the market on exorbitant rates. He said food grain supply from ration stores has a direct bearing on the life of common people adding that before making any change in the food policy, government should first fore see the actual requirement of a poor consumer.
