Srinagar : Police in Sopore on Saturday facilitated an interaction meeting with NOKs of Martyrs at DPL Sopore.
In a statement issued from the Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, Police said that meeting was chaired by Dy SP Umar Urfan, and other officers of Police were also present on the occasion. The meeting was attended by large number of NOKs of Police martyrs of Police District Sopore.
On this occasion, police said that the meeting was organised to take stock of the welfare of the families of Police Martyrs who laid their precious lives in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the nation. The chairing officer while addressing the NOK’s of martyrs’ assured them that their grievances will be redressed on priority.
The chairing officer in his address assured the NOKs of every possible help and paid rich tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the sake of the country. He also told the participants about various welfare measures that are taken by the Police Department for the welfare of the NOKs and said that all the Police units are committed to provide every possible assistance to the families of Police Martyrs. He further said that police martyrs are unforgettable members of Police Parivaar and taking care of their NOKs is prime responsibility of police department as the martyrs sacrificed their lives for better future. NOKs of Police Martyrs expressed their satisfaction and hoped to further strengthen this bond.
While concluding the statement, police said that officers also visited families of Police martyrs and distributed blankets among them.
