Shopian : The phase Ist of Back to Village-4th culminated on Saturday across Shopian with an array of activities conducted in all 32 Panchayats of the district.
On the occasion, the Visiting Officers held interaction with the locals, civil society and PRI representatives of their respective Panchayats to take stock of public demands, grievances and other developmental needs.
Officers along with officials of line departments inspected various works executed under previous B2V programmes and other developmental schemes.
The Visiting Officers also inspected AmritSarovar sites, JJM works and inaugurated several projects including Roads constructed under MGNREGA, AmritSarovar ponds, drains and other works.
Visiting officers also distributed land passbooks, mother and child care kits under BBBP among beneficiaries on the occasion.
Visiting officers during the programme took stock of the progress of various schemes/plans being implemented by various departments.
Officers visited several government offices in the villages including schools, Healthcare centres, Anganwari centres, and other offices and took stock of the services being provided to the public.
Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya also visited Panchayats including Dangam, Shirmal and others and interacted with people along with visiting officers. He took part in B2V activities and listened to public issues and sought feedback from the public on development works and implementation of welfare, digital services.
Officers/officials of various line departments, DDCs, BDCs, PRIs and people in large numbers participated in these B2V4 programmes.
