Kishtwar Admin gears up for Back to Village phase fourth activities

Kishtwar  :  District Administration Kishtwar has braced up for smooth conduct of  Back to Village phase fourth activities in the district  under the overall supervision of District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav here on Wednesday.

A Training-cum-Orientation programme for the Officers deputed for “Back to Village” programme phase-4th B2V4 starting from 27th October 2022 in the District was held here at Conference Hall DC Office Complex. The orientation session was organised by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj   under the supervision of ADDC, Sham Lal. As many as 70 visiting officers were sensitised about their role and responsibilities.

During the training programme, ACP /Provincial Master-Trainer Zakir Hussain Wani highlighted the aim and objectives of the ensuing B2V4 programme. He   informed the participants that one Gazetted officer has been deputed to assess the requirements of each Panchayat where he would spend 2 days and 1 night.

The District Master Trainers, including ACD, AtulDutt Sharma, DPO Kishtwar, Sunil Bhutyal, Senior Lecturer DIET, Riaz Ahmed Butt, provided important information viz purpose of visit, instructions and guidelines to be followed, Action points during the visit and collection of data under Key deliverables of each department for the successful conduct of J&K flagship programme for officers.

The visiting officers were asked to provide the information in a pre designed format for the allocated Panchayat.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC Kishtwar stressed upon the officers to work with sincerity and dedication to make “Back to Village programme” a grand success by laying main focus on issues of public importance.

He impressed upon the Officers to play a pivotal role to strengthen the Panchayati Raj institutions and record the aspirations of people and finalisation of plans in the Gram Sabhas by involving PRIs and locals.

The ADDC asked the visiting officers to ensure that PRIs and field functionaries are roped in the program for making B2V4 meaningful.

He asked the officers to assess the functioning and the empowerment of the Panchayats. The Officers were asked to capture the Panchayat and sector wise data under Back to village. He further asked them to hold detailed deliberation in the Gram sabhas about the issues and follow up action taken on Back to village l,ll and IIl the same by the District administration and the various line departments.

The ADDC said that all the issues raised during B2VI,B2V2& B2V3 are consolidated and categorised sector wise and Panchayat wise and put in soft term, midterm and long term categories.
