Leaders of all hues condole demise of Maulana Abbas Ansari

Srinagar, : Leaders from across the political spectrum have condoled the demise of top Islamic scholar and founder Chairman of Ittihad-Ul-Muslimeem Maulansa Abbas Ansari .

President J&K National Conference and Member Parliament Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Party’s Vice President Omar Abdullah, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, President J&K Apni Party Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari , Chairman Peoples Conference Sajad Gani Lone, Chairman J&K Peoples Democratic Front (J&K PDF), and several others have expressed profound grief over the demise of Moulana Mohammad Abbas Ansari.

In his condolence message, President J&K National Conference Dr. Farooq Abdullah  said, “All his life, Maulvi sahib remained deeply engaged with the issues deeply rooted in  religious and cultural pluralism of J&K. His great efforts to bridge the sectarian divisions will be remembered for all the times to come. I pay my tributes to him and pray to Almighty Allah and for peace to his departed soul in the highest realms of Jannat.  My heart goes out to the bereaved family at this difficult time.”

In his condolence message, Vice President J&K National Conference Omar Abdullah said, “I pray to Almighty to bestow highest echelons to the departed soul in Jannat, and forbearance to the bereaved family, followers , and admirers of his.”

Condoling the demise of Maulana Abbas Ansari former Union Minister Prof Saif Ud Din Soz said “I feel extremely sad on the demise of Maulana Abbas Ansari, Co-founder of Plebiscite Front and J&K Hurriyat Conference. Maulana Abbas’s distinct quality as a Separatist leader was that he was always prepared for Conciliation and Reconciliation, as a peaceful solution to political issues. In spite of his separatism, he was never averse to dialogue and discussion with the opposite camp”.

Condoling the demise of Maulana Abbas Ansari PDP President Mehbooba Mufti in a tweet said “Maulana Abbas Ansari sb lived a life dedicated to the cause of peace and Islam. An ardent advocate of unity who led a pious and a humble life. He leaves behind a rich legacy etched into the hearts and minds of people of Kashmir. Allah darjat buland farmaye”

President J&K Apni Party President Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari also expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of veteran Kashmiri leader Molvi Abbas Ansari. In his condolence message, Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari said, “I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing away of Molvi Abbas Ansari Sahib. Today, we have lost a great religious leader who spent his entire life serving people and contributing to society. He was a reformist and contributed to the education sector as well.”

Condoling the demise of Maulana Abbas Ansari Chairman J&K Peoples Democratic Front (J&K PDF) said “Maulana Abbas Ansari lived a life and all along his life was committed to the cause of peace and Islam. He lived a pious and a humble life. He left a rich legacy that will always remain into the hearts and minds of people of Jammu & Kashmir.”

Condoling the demise of Maulana Abbas Ansari the Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone in a tweet said “My heartfelt condolences to the family of Maulana Abbass Ansari sahib on his demise. May Allah grant Jannat”.

Anjuman-e-Shar-e-Shian President, Aga Syed Hassan Al-Mosvi Al-Safvi also condoled the demise. In his message, Aga Syed Hassan said expressed his deep shock and grief over the demise of Abbas Anasri and said that Kashmir has lost a great religious scholar and a political leader. “Kashmir and its people needed the leaders like Abbas sahib but death keeps no calendar. Today, he left this world. We will miss him forever,” he said and prayed for the highest standards for the departed soul in Janah.
