“Jan Abhiyan”: Intents & Expectations

Actions are taken to bring about perceptible change on ground but if actions are directionless because of deviation from the plans drafted, designed and approved by the Government from time to time with the intent of furthering the causes of development the changes won’t bring any improvement in the delivery of services and extension and expansion of infrastructural facilities.  Phase IV of the Back to Village program to be launched in next few days under much publicized “Jan Abhiyan” program is yet another big initiative of the Jammu & Kashmir Government to reach out to people for knowing their responses on the development initiatives taken by the Government with the intent of furthering the causes of peoples participation in the developmental process across Jammu & Kashmir. Responses of the people on actions taken to implement the plans designed, drafted and approved by the Government demand the urgent attention of the administrative secretaries tasked the job of overseeing the conduct of the phase IV of the Back To Village Program in different districts under the proposed Jan Abhiyan to be launched in next few days.  Never forget that strength of education and health sectors are the prime indicators of development in both rural and urban parts of any state or union territory of the country and same holds good for Jammu & Kashmir. Improvement in the development of accommodation and infrastructural facilities for the schools and hospitals deserves immediate attention of the administrative secretaries during the conduct of the Phase IV of back to village program beginning under the banner of “ Jan Abhiyan” shortly across Jammu & Kashmir. Unfortunately most of the Government schools and hospitals in remote rural areas are run from private buildings and even if works on construction of some hospital and school building has begun in some villages in recent years but the work on such buildings is going on at a very slow pace.

Lapses deserve attention of the administrative secretaries’  tasked the job of overseeing the implementation of the initiatives proposed for phase IV of the Back to Village Program under the proposed “Jan Abhiyan” that is schedule to begin in next few days. Lapses in the execution of developmental projects and development of infrastructural facilities if identified with the intent of carrying out corrective measures would most likely bring about a perceptible change in the overall developmental scenario in Jammu & Kashmir.

Not only school and hospital buildings are missing deadlines set for their  completion but even some mega developmental projects are missing deadlines one after the other. Such lapses deserve attention of the administrative secretaries’  tasked the job of overseeing the implementation of the initiatives proposed for phase IV of the Back to Village Program under the proposed “Jan Abhiyan” that is schedule to begin in next few days. Lapses in the execution of developmental projects and development of infrastructural facilities if identified with the intent of carrying out corrective measures would most likely bring about a perceptible change in the overall developmental scenario in Jammu & Kashmir.
