Dir Agri (J) reviews progress under CAPEX, Distt Plans & Deliverables

Jammu :  Director Agriculture Production & Farmers’ Welfare Jammu, K. K. Sharma chaired a meeting of the officers to review the progress under CAPEX, District Agriculture Plans & Deliverables at Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo, Jammu here on Tuesday. The physical and financial achievements/ expenditure under various centrally sponsored schemes and CAPEX Budget 2022-23 were discussed threadbare in the meeting.

At the outset, Director Agriculture reviewed in detail the status/progress of various deliverables under departmental schemes and district Agriculture Plan  including National Food Security Mission(NFSM), Seed Distribution, Diversification(Mushroom & Bee-Keeping), Soil Health Cards (SHC), Protected cultivation, Fertilizer/Pesticide samples, Plant Health Management services besides Farm Mechanization, AIF & PMFME. He impressed upon the officers to identity and resolves the bottlenecks in successful implementation of farmer welfare schemes.

Director took latest update under Social Sector Schemes like PM KISAN, PMKMY, e-Shram, KCC and directed for regular reporting of the same. Progress concerning top 20 Urea buyers, liquidation of stock held in PoS machines and model fertilizer retail Shops in the respective districts was also reviewed in the meeting.  The Director also received Feedback regarding preparedness of Rabi 2022-23 season.

Director asked for need based operation of e-plant clinics in the districts for facilitation of the farmers. He further impressed upon the officers to report the activities under B2V4 on daily basis. Progress under new initiatives, 14 online services of the department and functioning of paddy procurement mandies was also discussed in the meeting.

The meeting was attended among others by Joint Director Agriculture (Inputs), Joint Director Agriculture (Extension), Joint Director (Apiculture & Mushroom), Deputy Director (Central), Agronomist (Vegetables), DSSO, Agriculture Chemist, Deputy Director Agriculture (Trainings),  Plant Protection officer, Agriculture Research Engineer and Sectoral Heads of different Schemes of Agriculture Department.  Chief Agriculture Officers/representatives of all districts of Jammu Division were also present in the meeting
