Deptts putting in best to saturate deliverables under Jan Abhiyan Prog in Kathua

Kathua :  The Jan Abhiyan activities have been intensified in Kathua district wherein Departments are putting in best efforts to saturate the identified deliverables by reaching out to the people.

An awareness camp on the scope of Village Tourism by J K Tourism Development Corporation was organised Tuesday at TRC, Basohli  which was chaired by DDC Chairman, Kathua Mahan Singh.

BDC chairman Basohli, SushmaJamwal; President Municipal Committee, SumeshSpolia; ADC, Basohli, Ajeet Singh; Deputy Director Tourism Planning, Dr.NehaMahajan;  Tourist Officer Kathua-Samba Dr. Rajesh Raina and a large number of locals were also present.

The Agriculture Department Kathua organised KissanMela at Lower Baggan in LohaiMalhar block. The farmers were imparted awareness on Agriculture Schemes and programmes. Similarly a KissanMela was also held at Bani where Resource person from Agriculture Department gave a brief resume on Soil Health Cards and cultivation of suitable crops as per the Agro-climatic conditions.

At TarafBalaPanchayat in Block Barnoti, Agriculture Department distributed over 100 Soil Health Cards among the beneficiaries.

The Cooperative Department organised One Day training cum Awareness Session in collaboration with the Department of Handicraft & Handloom at  Sallan.

The camp was organised for identification of potential members of Cooperative Societies and Cooperatives.

District Industries Centre Kathua organised an awareness camp on E-Shram and PMEGP at Industrial Estate, SICOP Kathua.

During the event, IPO Shivang Gupta apprised the participants about the schemes and provided orientation about submission of online applications related to the Industries Department.

JPDCL Kathua conducted a drive for topping of Transformer Oil, Replacing of rated fuses and checking of unique ID of Transformer across the district as part of Jan Abhiyan programme.

The Revenue Department Kathua organised Awareness Camps on Online Revenue Services besides distribution  of Land Passbooks at TharaKalyal and Aglidhar.

Ayushman Bharat PMJAY registration camps were organised by CSC’s in Kindli, Nanan, Tombu, Kardoh, Barnoti, Sandroon, TharaKalyal-B, Uchapindpanchayats and Ward 19 & Ward 21 in Kathua MC Tuesday.

The Forest Department organised Jan Abhiyan Plantation Drive in the premises of NTPHC Lowang in Bani in presence of NaibSarpanch.

The Jal Shakti Department Kathua distributed Field Test Kits at Galak, GurhaKalyal-East, GurhaKalyal-B, Amuwala and Salorepanchayats to acquaint the public to undertake water quality testing of AmritSarovars.

The Floriculture Department organised an awareness programme on Commercial Floriculture at PanchayatSumwan in Block Nagri. The departmental team encouraged the people to adopt Floriculture and cultivation of Flowers on a commercial scale to enhance their source of Income.Besides, other macro and micro level activities were held across the district under Jan Abhiyan programme.
