Dir RD Jmu completed Chenab valley visit under Jan Abhiyan

Jammu :  In connection with the Back to Village Programme (B2V4) the preceding period i.e. 15th to 26th October 2022, a preparatory phase i.e. Jan Abhiyan is observed throughout the J&K with focus on youth, skills, self-employment, good governance  and Panchayati Raj along-with NashaMukt and RozgarYukt J&K.

In that context, MohdMumtaz Ali, Director, RDD Jammu visited number of Panchayats of Districts Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban and inspected number of developmental works executed under various schemes of RDD.

In District Doda he visited Panchayat Assar (Block Assar) and PanchayatMalwas (Block Bhagwah) and PanchayatKandote (Block Thathri) where he interacted with Officers and Officials of RDD, PRI members and general public and also inspected various works executed under B2V and other developmental schemes of RDD and obtained feedback from the general public in implementation of Schemes of the Department and urged people to ensure maximum participation in ongoing Jan Abhiyan and upcoming B2V4 Programme.

He held a detailed review meeting with ACD Doda, ACP Doda, BDOs of District Doda and all the staff of the Engineering Wing (REW Doda), wherein the progress of various schemes/plans being implemented by RDD was reviewed in detail and instructions were passed on for speedy allotment and execution of works under CD&Pyt. scheme, ensure the completion of all the houses under PMAY-G and Awas+ scheme. The indicators of MGNREGA scheme were also reviewed and laggard Blocks were pulled up for gearing up their progress. The construction of Soak Pits and Compost Pits under MGNREGA/SBM in the District was also reviewed in detail and instructions were passed to complete the same within timeline.

In Kishtwar, he visited PanchayatDugga (Block Drabshalla) and PanchayatDool-A (Block Nagseni),where he interacted with officers and officials of RDD, BDC Chairman Block Nagseni (Sh. Mohd Ashraf) PRI members and general public and redressed their issues on the spot. He instructed them to ensure the participation of PRIs for monitoring the execution of works.A review meeting of ACD Kishtwar, ACP, Kishtwar, Executive Engineer REW Kishtwar and BDOs and the Engineering staff of REW Kishtwar was held, wherein he reviewed development works, achievements under Deliverables and took extensive tour of District Kishtwar and inspected various works executed under different schemes of RDD and also urged people to ensure maximum participation in ongoing Jan Abhiyan and upcoming B2V4.

In District Ramban he visited PanchayatDhalwas (Block Batote) and Panchayat Seri-A (Block Ramban) of District Ramban and held a detailed interaction with PRIs and general public for getting feedback with regard to quality of execution of works and on the basis of complaints from some PRI members and general public, a committee has been constituted for verification of quality of works executed under RDD schemes in PanchayatDhalwas in Block Batote. He also inspected various developmental works undertaken under various RDD Schemes in Panchayat Seri-A in Block Ramban.

He directed all the RDD officers/officials to achieve various targets/indicators well in time and on-spot instructions were issued to field staff to work with dedication and honesty so that desired results can be achieved as per the timelines.
