DG Planning visits Shopian; inspects Dev Works of ABDP Blocks

Shopian :  The Director General (DG) Planning, Parvaiz Sajad Kakroo who is also Visiting Officer for Shopian on Saturday visited ShopianDistrict to take first hand review of Developmental initiatives  taken up under Aspirational Block Developmental Programme (ABDP).

At the outset, the DG took  review of many developmental sectors in a meeting with concerned departments.

Works undertaken by Health, Education, Irrigation, R&B, Handicrafts and other departments were reviewed here at Mini Secretariat, here.

It was intimated during the meeting that multifarious works in skill development, school education, RDD, etc are under execution in  two Aspirational  Blocks of Keller and Ramnagri which shall be completed within the stipulated time frame.

The Visiting Officer asked the concerned officers to focus on saturation of targets.

Joint Director Planning, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana briefed the meeting about developmental scenarios in these two Aspirational Blocks.

The DG said that department-wise developmental works are to be completed as part of Jan Abhiyan and stressed for achieving the set goals. He directed the officers to submit the report on developmental works besides emphasizing upon departments to ensure close monitoring and follow-up for cent percent completion of projects within stipulated time.

Later, he visited and inspected under construction developmental works being executed by various executing agencies in these two Aspiration Blocks of the district.

At Keller, ParvaizSajad inspected the upgradation of Health Infrastructure at HWC K- Manloo,  Reading Room at GHSS Narpora, Road Project at Zampathri.

He also interacted with PRIs and emphasised upon them for their better cooperation  in developmental activities so that works under execution in these areas be completed  within the shortest possible time.

On the Occasion, Vice- Chairperson, District Development Council, Shopian, IrfanManhas  inaugurated Health Machinery of HWC, K- Manloo, Reading Room at GHSS Narpora in presence of Visiting Officer and PRIs .

Concerned DDC member inaugurated the Link Road Project at Zampathri in presence of Visiting Officer and PRIs.

Winding up his Keller Tour, the Visiting Officer inspected ongoing development works under ABDP in the Block .

ParvaizSajad, later on visited Ramnagri Block and inspected completed Road Project under ABDP  at Sedow and interacted with PRIs besides inspecting ongoing, under construction works meant for social and economic upliftment of people.

On the occasion, DDC member inaugurated the Road Project at Sedow in presence of Visiting Officer and PRIs.

He concluded his Visit by visiting HSS Sedow and NTPHC Sedow and reviewed their functioning.

The officer was accompanied by many district, block officers and officials.
