Training Prog On Mushroom Cultivation organised in GDC Ramgarh

Samba :  Career Counselling Cell, IQAC & NSS of Government Degree College Ramgarh organized a Mushroom Cultivation training programme for the Students of the College under the aegis of ‘AttamNirbhar Bharat.’

The training in  Mushroom Cultivation was conducted under the guidance  the College Principal, Prof. (Dr.) SatinderKaur.

Avtar Singh, AEO; Satvir Singh, AEA &. Kushal Singh Jamwal, AEA, DCTC, Samba imparted training to the students.

Speaking on the occasion, the College Principal congratulated the organising team for hosting this fruitful training programme on mushroom cultivation and expressed optimism that this step will prove beneficial in enhancing the skill of the students. She stressed on Students to adopt mushroom cultivation to become self-dependent. She extended gratitude towards the resource person, who despite his busy schedule, spared time for the event.

During the training programme, Avtar Singh, Agriculture Extension Officer, Samba highlighted the scope and importance of mushroom in context with J & K. He further demonstrated the technique for utilizing the Spent Mushroom Substrate for making compost etc. He also explained the procedure for getting benefits of different schemes. He also stressed on the beneficiaries to take full benefit of loans provided by the banks through different schemes under Mushroom Cultivation.

After the lecture of the resource person, a question-answer session was held in which students of the College received answers for their queries.

The welcome address was presented by Dr VarinderKour and the Vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Seema Sharma.

Dr.AditiKhajuria was the organizing secretary of the event. The organizing committee included Dr.Sandeep Kumar, Dr.ShamsherLal, and Prof. Risha Kumar. Other staff members of the College also attended the event.

The other faculty members present were: Dr Anjali Bala, Dr Ekta Rani and Dr Uma Prasher. The students of the college enthusiastically participated in the training programme.
