Anantnag : A Special Lok-Adalat was on Friday organized in
District Court Anantnag and other sub-ordinate courts of the district under the Chairmanship of Naseer Ahmad Dar, Principal District and Sessions Judge (PD&SJ) Anantnag.
By the concerted efforts of presiding officers of all the courts, cooperation rendered by the learned advocates and officers of various government departments, insurance companies and banking institutions.
A total number of 1057 cases were taken up by 07 benches in the district out of which 938 cases (Pre and Post- Litigation) were settled on the spot.
An amount of Rs. 42,64,370 was the settlement amount including award of Rs. 6.65 lacs in one MACT Case.
