DC Ang reviews PWD & PMGSY sectors

Anantnag : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Dr. Basharat Qayoom on Friday convened a meeting to review the physical and financial progress of works being executed by PWD and PMGSY under various heads including J&K Capex, District Capex, untied grants, PRI grants, NABARD, Languishing, DDC, BDC grants, World Bank funded schemes, CRF, C&T, etc.

While presenting the PPT, the chair was apprised by the SE, PWD that the projects that have been approved under the said scheme in the district will be completed in due course of time physically as well as financially.

The SE informed that 55 schemes under C&T stands completed, under languishing 42 schemes stand completed with 100 percent booked expenditure, under CRF 8 projects are completed out of 13 with 50 percent expenditure booked, under world bank schemes out of 5, two projects stand completed, under Pothole schemes 43 works have been completed and under NABARD 14 works stand completed.

DDC instructed the officers to work with utmost dedication and zeal. He asked them to maintain the quality while executing the work and establish a close liaison with the local population so that the progress and quality of the work can be monitored by the public for whom these developmental activities are carried out.

Besides, he directed the engineers to start the allotted works and complete all the works both physically and financially within stipulated time and before winter season.

Poor performance on account of completion and quality control of works cannot be tolerated, said the DC. Small works which are of local public importance should be completed on priority and it has to be ensured such works be completed within 15 days, he added.

DDC also reviewed state sector, district sector, NABARD and CRF projects and directed the concerned departments to complete the projects within the stipulated time.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, CPO, SE R&B, Ex. Engineers of Khanabal division, Vailoo division, Qazigund division, PMGSY, AEEs of concerned sub divisions along with other officials of the concerned divisions.
