Kishtwar :  To redress public grievances at their doorsteps, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav on Wednesday chaired a public grievances redressal camp organised as a part of weekly Block Diwas here at TRC Mughal Maidan.

BDC Chairperson Mughal Maidan, Shariefa Begum, SDM Chatroo, Inderjeet Singh Parihar, ACD, AtulDutt Sharma; DSWO, Zubair Ahmed;  CMO, DrChander; XEN PWD Chatroo, ErMasoodMintoo; TehsildarMughalmaidan, NayeemIqbal Sheikh; CDPO Inderwal, Kuldeep Kumar besides other District and sectoral officers and field functionaries of line departments were present on the occasion.

During the event, the public and their representatives raised a number of issues and demands of their areas including macadamization of roads, upgradation of government institutions, meeting paucity of staff, better health care facilities etc.

They demanded for up-gradation of local infrastructure in the health, Education, road connectivity and other sectors.

The DC gave a patient hearing to all the issues projected by the public during the event and assured them that the genuine concerns would be redressed in a phased manner.

Addressing the event, the DC said that the District Administration is making untiring efforts to redress the genuine concerns of the public and sought the active cooperation of all the stakeholders in this regard.

He also advised the public representatives and officers to work in tandem for the overall development of the district.

He asked the PRIs to formulate Panchayat Solid Waste Management Plan under Swach Bharat Mission to achieve the goal of green and clean Panchayat.

Talking about the measures being taken for the inclusive, all-round and substantial development of all the areas of the district, he said that emphasis was being laid to push every sector to take the district to newer heights and new levels of prosperity.

He also urged the people to participate in the ongoing Jan Abhiyan and upcoming Back to Village Phase IV (B2V4) and make participative democracy a grand success at grassroots level.

Responding to the issues and demands raised by the general public, he exhorted the officers to take immediate measures to mitigate the problems of the people highlighted during the public outreach program.

Referring to the ongoing Summary Revision of Electoral Roll-22, the DC appealed public to ensure their registration either through BLOs or directly through online mode at NVSP portal upto 25th October 2022.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner also inspected the stalls put up to exhibit the beneficiary schemes being implemented by different departments.

Meanwhile, the counters of CSCs were also established for on the spot registration of left out workers on the e-shram portal, beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat Schemes and registration under other online schemes.

Earlier, the DC distributed Prosthetic Aids among the Physically Disabled Persons provided by Social Welfare Department and land passbooks under AapkiZameenAapkiNigrani, besides took part in the plantation drive of Forest Range Inderwal under the aegis of ongoing Jan Abhiyan.

Meanwhile, the DC also inspected the Kasturba Gandhi BalikaVidyalaya (KGBV) Mughal Maidan and took stock of the facilities available for girl Students.

He also interacted with the students and enquired about the learning gaps and the facilities provided to them.
