Jan Abhiyan: DC flags-off van to sensitize people about online services, portals across Ramban Distt

Ramban :  Continuing the activities under Jan Abhiyan, District Administration Ramban conducted a series of events to saturate the welfare and developmental schemes, besides sensitizing the people about the benefits of the same.

Deputy Commissioner,  Mussarat Islam launched an IEC campaign and flagged off a well-equipped Van of the Common Service Centres to impart awareness and information to general masses regarding online services and portals launched by the Government to implement financial inclusion programmes and other social and development sector schemes including Ayushman Bharat, PM Kissan and deliverables like e-unnat, LRIS, AZAN portal, DIGITAL SEVA etc.

District Industries Centre, Ramban organized an awareness camp under Jan Abhyan at PanchayatGharSangaldan to sensitize people about the self-employment schemes like PMEGP and others being implemented by DIC in industrial and service sectors in the district.

General Manager DIC, Ravinder Kumar Anand, made people aware of the schemes being implemented by J&K and Central Governments to enable the youth to become job creators instead of job seekers.

The Geology and Mining department conducted an awareness-cum-workshop regarding e-challan generation and e-market place .

The Revenue Department also conducted  a series of activities including showing records on the LRIS portal under the AZAN campaign  across the district,  distributed land passbooks among land owners under’ Aapkizameen, aapkinigrani’ and attestation of inheritance mutation.   TehsildarBanihal, Imtiaz Ahmed handed over land passbooks to land owners at PatwarHalqaKaskoot under Jan Abhiyan.

The Education Department conducted Rangoli making competitions, sanitation drives, besides decorating classrooms, painting IEC material on walls of schools in all zones of the district as part of the “My School My Pride” initiative.

Taking part in Jan Abhiyan, the Sheep Husbandry Department participated in a veterinary camp organised by the Indian Army at Prehender, Banihal.

A team of Animal Husbandry Department headed by Dr. Muzaffar VAS, Ramban sensitized people about different schemes of the department like KCC, IDDS, IPDP, NAIP etc. the team also gave on-the-spot treatment and prescription of the animals affected by LSD.

The Department of Cooperative organized awareness camps at Kowbagh, Maitra, Ramban&Gool in which the  PRIs and officials of department briefed the members of newly registered Cooperatives Societies regarding the working of cooperatives, Cooperative Societies, Acts and Rules of Co-operative societies.

Department of Skill Development also organized awareness camps at Banihal and Gool for youth to educate them about the importance of skill development, whereas Polytechnic College Ramban also conducted an admission drive in Tehsil Rajgarh for leftover seats.

Horticulture, Agriculture, Health, ICDS and other departments also conducted various programmes under Jan Abhiyan across the district.
