Jammu : Agri -Business startup in the name and style of Fly-e-Kart, dealing in primary processing of fruits and vegetables was inaugurated by Director Horticulture Jammu, Ram Savak here at NarwalBala here on Thursday.
The startup dealing in preparation of Pickles, Jams, Juices, Spices etc. has been established under the CAPEX scheme with the financial assistance of the horticulture department.
The Director reviewed the functioning of the unit and asked the budding entrepreneurs to avail the subsidy and other facilities provided by the department of Horticulture to establish the fruit and vegetable preservation unit, spice making unit and dry fruit processing units under different govt. schemes like CAPEX, AIF, MIDH etc. He said that the value addition of fruit products will not only reduce the post harvest losses of fruits, but also provide employment opportunities to the youth.
Attaullah Bukhari, the proprietor of the fly-e-Kart processing unit thanked the Department of Horticulture, especially Director Horticulture Jammu and Chief Canning and Processing Instructor, Jammu VikasAnand for financially supporting him in the establishment of the processing unit.
Fly-e-Kart, the primary processing unit is based on concept of providing packaged quality fruits and vegetables directly to the customers and through shopping malls, in both online and offline modes.
