Rajouri :  Secretary Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Commission J&K, S. Param Jeet Singh on Tuesday visited GMC&AH and facilitated twenty mothers blessed with girl child.

While interacting with the mothers of the newly born girl child, the Secretary congratulated the mothers and their family members and felicitated them with baby kits.

The Secretary said that the Government was committed to take all possible steps to ensure the uplift of the girls and women in the society and to safeguard their rights to enable them live a respectful life.

He also said that the parents should be thankful to God that they are blessed with a girl child and also told them in present times the girls are bringing pride and glory to the Nation and excelling in every field and we all have to join hands for their bright future.

Calling for sustained collaborative efforts to encourage girls at all levels, fields for their systematic development, he urged the stakeholders to work in tandem and percolate the benefits of schemes to the women folk as the first charge.

While appreciating the efforts of the officers for their spirited efforts to ensure the successful implementation of the BBBP campaign in the district, the Secretary also asked them to keep working with the same zeal for the welfare of the women in the society.

The Secretary also said that the girls are nowhere less than the boys and have shown their calibre in all fields of life. He also advised the parents to encourage their girls not to limit themselves in any way but to pursue their dreams and passion.

Later, the Secretary also visited the Drug de-addiction centre and impressed upon the staff to ensure that best possible services are provided to the drug addicts in the centre.

He also interacted with the staff of the GMC&AH and asked them to provide best Medicare services to the patients in the GMC&AH.

Officers who accompanied the Secretary during his visit were DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; MS DH, DrMehmoodBajar; TSWO, Rahul Puri and other officers.
