Kishtwar : For the implementation of FSSA-2006 Rules and regulations, Melas for on the spot generation of Registrations and licenses was held on Monday here in Kishtwar Town.
The officials of the Departments of Education, Social Welfare, ICDS & locals were sensitised about the different guidelines issued by the DFCO .
Announcement was made in the markets for Food Business Operators to get their establishments registered under FSSA at the camps through the online portal.
As many as 17 Registrations & 01 licence were generated for Kishtwar zone and 20 Registrations for Padder and Dachhan zone which were handed over to the Food Business Operators on the spot.
Meanwhile, Food Business Operators, ICDS ,Health & MDM front liners, Consumers, Customers & general public were imparted awareness about RUCO, Food Fortification & Eat Right Challenge initiatives.
The Food Safety Officer accompanied by Food Safety Officer Dachhan and Field worker HQ Kishtwar advised the shopkeepers to get their Registrations & licenses which are mandatory to be displayed on the prominent places of the Establishments covered under the FSS Act.
Besides, lectures regarding improvement in the pattern of sale including packaging and Labeling, maintenance of Hygienic practices and sanitation were delivered by the Enforcement Officers of the Department in view of holy festival Deepawali,.
The initiatives including RUCO & Food Fortification was appreciated by the participants. Instructions were also issued to avoid delay in renewal of the online certificates.
The main objective of these melas was to reach out to Food Business Operators, Customers & public in General.
