Doda : A joint team of enforcement departments on Monday conducted a market inspection in Doda Township to check quality and rates of eatables being sold amid the festival season.
The team inspected the business establishments selling sweets, milk and milk products, Bakery items to ensure availability of Safe, quality, fresh, and wholesome food items to the Consumers and public amid the ongoing festival Season.
The inspection squad emphasized on maintaining Hygiene, Cleanliness sanitation and to avoid overpricing as well as adhering to the packaging &labelling regulations, display of rate lists at the prominent places of the establishments and trade outlets covered under the mandate of Law. The Food Business Operators and vendors were imparted awareness and instructed to follow the same.
During the inspections Rs.2300 fine was recovered from two establishments for insanitary conditions and other violations.
Besides, the Shopkeepers were asked to maintain high standards of Hygiene and warned against violation of the rules. Further, it was also informed that this special drive will continue in the larger public interest.
