DC Kupwara reviews progress under ‘Zimadari’ prog,  DM asks officers to ensure 100% implementation

Kupwara :  The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray on Monday chaired a meeting of Officers of Education Department to review the progress of ‘Zimadari’ programme going on under Aspirational District Programme (ADP).

Addressing the meeting, the DC stressed upon the officers to play a proactive role in implementation of ‘Zimadari ‘ programme, under ADP.

He made them familiar with all the indicators of the programme and asked them to gather more knowledge about the programme through training and online facilities and ensure cent percent coverage of all 100 points (Reflectors) of the programme.

The DC said that Zimadari programme is a scientifically devised programme of Niti Ayog, which can change the overall look of the schooling system in the district and urged upon the officers to work as bridge between the Administration and the implementing force at school level.

He asked them the more they understand the programme, the more they can deliver in the field. He said the programme is a knowledge transfer project.

Dattatray said that it is an initiative of District Administration Kupwara in collaboration with Piramal Foundation to revolutionize education in the district. He said that the Zimadari programme is a road map towards an accountable system for holistic development in the Education Sector and asked officers that it is not any type of voluntary programme but a compulsory.

He appreciated the officers for their best delivery in the field but simultaneously directed that administration will not tolerate any laziness or poor performance from any Officer.

DC also received feedback from the officers and replied to the queries to make more understanding of the programme.

Dy.CEO, Principals of Higher Secondary Schools, Zonal Education Officers attended the meeting.

Later, the Senior Programme Manager and District Lead gave detailed training to the officers regarding the successful implementation of the Zimadari programme.

It was given out that the programme/ project has six Thematic Areas, which include Academics, Basic Infrastructure, Extracurricular, Co curricular, Social Emotional Learning and Human Resource Development.

Which are further divided into 85 indicators on the basis of which schools will be ranked and will be divided into groups like Green, Blue, Orange and Red.
