Bhadarwah : Block Development Council Chairman, Omi Chand, on Saturday inaugurated Inter-Panchayat Zone level tournament in the disciplines of Kabadi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Cricket here at an impressive and well attended function held on the grounds of Government HSS Boys.
As many as 30 Panchayat and 11 wards of Block Bhaderwah are participating in the tournament organized by Youth Services and Sports department as a part of annual calendar of sports activities under the patronage of SubashChanderChibber, Director Youth Services and Sports and under the overall supervision of JafferHaider Sheikh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Doda and ZPEO Bhaderwah.
After the inauguration, the BDC Chairman appreciated the efforts being put in by the Youth Services and Sports Department for conducting sports events to provide students and non-students an opportunity to showcase their sports talent.
The inaugural programme was also attended by the School Principal, Anis Ahmed and SarpanchButlaParveenJaral.
The inaugural match was played between the team of PanchayatSartingle and team of ward no 03 Khakhal Panchayat Sartingle defeated Khakhal.
