DC B’pora reviews progress on Deliverables, preparation for Jan Abhiyan

Bandipora :  The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Saturday chaired a meeting of officers to review the progress of Deliverables, District Capex Budget, CSS and other development programmes.

The follow up meeting was convened to ensure time bound implementation of development and welfare based programs.

On the occasion, officers informed the chair about implementation of various programmes and welfare schemes besides other developmental projects.

Dr Owais also held a detailed meeting on preparations for the upcoming Jan Abhiyan where all departments will work in synergy for ensuring saturation under various social security and centrally sponsored schemes.

He said that the Panchayat wise details of achievements and targets in various sectors are summarized and work be started in a time bound manner to achieve the targets. He also said that the steps taken under SBM be monitored on a daily basis to ensure clean villages.

Dr Owais took detailed review of the expenditure under various schemes and sought response from the officer’s regarding the utilization of PRI grants and funds under the District Capex.

While reviewing the implementation of various Centrally Sponsored schemes, Dr Owais asked each department to submit the progress report and difficulties faced in the realization of projects to the office of Joint Director Planning within the week’s time.

He directed Block Development Officers to ensure full realization of PRI grants and ensure the mobilization of contractors and staff for the better results.

He asked officers to ensure cooperation and coordination with Panchayat Institutions and the general public for the proper and efficient utilization of funds.

The meeting discussed key infrastructure bottlenecks to be resolved instantly to facilitate development and incur expenditure. DrOwais asked the officers of various departments to work in coordination to ensure all the bottlenecks are removed at earliest so as to ensure the works are completed on time.

The meeting also reviewed the Panchayat wise saturation of wage employment and other schemes at the Panchayat level.

DrOwais asked the officers to ensure that each job seeker gets employment and asked them to keep a Panchayat wise list of job seekers so that they are accordingly facilitated to start their own income generation units with the help of available government schemes under various sectors.

The meeting also reviewed implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in the district. Dr Owais asked the officers to expedite the JJM works so that the pure drinking water is provided to every soul of the district as per the aims of the Mission.

DC also reviewed the implementation of works under three phases of the Back to Village programme so far. He stressed on officers for the realization of deliverables of fourth phase of Back to Village which is starting from 27th October 2022.

He directed for the formulation of proper plans for the time of realization of deliverables under B2V4 Programme.

He also asked for the constitution of district and Tehsil level committees for monitoring of progress in the deliverables for each department.

Switching over to e-offices was also discussed in the meeting. DrOwais expressed satisfaction on the pace so far and asked officers to ensure complete switch over to e-Offices.

The meeting was attended by  Additional District Development Commissioner  Afsar Ali Khan,DistrictProgramme Officer BandiporaMohd Ashraf Hakak,  Additional Deputy Commissioner Waseem Raja,  Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, SDM Gurez, SDM Sumbal, ACP, Tehsildars,BDOs and other senior officers of the district.
