Kulgam : The District Administration Kulgamon Wednesday organized Mega Block Diwas in three blocks of the district viz. Devsar, Kulgam and D.H Pora to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.
The grievance redressalprogramme witnessed overwhelming response of PRI representatives, local people who visited the programme places in large numbers to flag-off their issues, grievances and demands with the visiting Officers for redressal.
Meanwhile, to take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.BilalMohi-Ud-Din Bhat presided over grievance redressal camp at Kulgam.
People from Brazloo, Parivan, Pahloo, Ashthal, Zazripora, Bolsoo, Mandhole, Kulgam and other areas participated in the grievance redressal camp and apprised the DC about their issues and grievances.
People from Aadigatnoo demanded augmentation of the LT power network.
A delegation from Pahaloo demanded upgradation of transformer at Peerpora, another delegation from Bolsoo demanded land for the Health centre. Also people from Ashthal demanded construction of diversion near Pranhal.
Similarly, PRI members and many other delegations also put forth various demands and developmental requirements of their areas.
Officers on the spot responded to the queries and demands of people pertaining to their departments.
The DC after giving patient hearing to the public addressed some of the immediate nature of grievances on spot and he also assured to take up all other genuine issues, grievances and demands with relevant quarters for early redressal.
Earlier, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Kulgam, Mohmmad Imran Khan also briefed about the action taken on various grievances and issues raised in previous Block Diwas.
Meanwhile grievances redressal camps were also held at Block Devsar and D. H. Pora where officers listened to the issues and grievances of people.
