ADDC Kishtwar inspects progress Kwar HEP, Listens to grievances of project Affected Families, assures prompt redressal

Kishtwar :  Additional District Development Commissioner, Sham Lalon Wednesday visited the 540 MW Kwar Hydro-Electric Power Project- a Run-of-River project on river Chenab coming up in Nagseni area of Kishtwar district and is under implementation from May 2022.

He was accompanied by DPO, Sunil Bhutyal; TehsildarNagseni, Majid Jahangir; GM CVPP, Kwar, Project PankajVashishth; DGM Shiv Nath Kumar; Sn Manager HR, Jaspreet Singh, besides other Project authorities.

During the interactive meeting held at the project office, GM CVPP briefed the Additional District Development Commissioner about the Salient features of the project.

Besides, Project Layout plan, timeline of different works to be undertaken, draft of Resettlement and Rehabilitation plan including the Skill enhancement and Development Programmes for project affected families besides other project related issues were also discussed threadbare in the meeting.

The ADDC assured the Project authorities of extending all possible cooperation from district Administration in the smooth execution of the Project.

Meanwhile, the ADDC also inspected the different sites of the project and took appraisal of the pace of execution activities there.

He directed the concerned authorities to expedite the pace of work by mobilizing adequate men and machinery on the work site for timely completion of the project.

On the site, project affected families apprised the ADDC Kishtwar about various issues pertaining to the implementation of RR plan and land and structure compensation etc.

The ADDC assured them that their grievances will be redressed on priority.

He directed TehsildarNagseni to ensure the demarcation and acquisition of project  land for hassle free completion of the project.

Besides, TehsildarNagseni was also directed to repair and renovate the un-utilised PWD building at Galhar, Nagseni so that the NaibTehsildars office Nagseni can be instituted there for the convenience of people.

Earlier, in the meeting held with Joint Director Planning MohdIqbal, DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal and other concerned in his office chamber, the ADDC  directed upon all to fine tune the arrangements for the smooth conduct of ensuing JanbhagidariAbhiyan under B2V4 in the district.
