Srinagar : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad AijazAsad on Tuesday visited Bal Ashram and NariNiketan at Shalimar to take stock of the functioning of the Centres and facilities being provided to the enrolled inmates.
The DC also visited Himayat Training Centre, Shalimar established for youth to provide IT and Soft Skill training and placements to earn livelihood.
At Bal Ashram and NariNekatan, the DC took stock of the functioning of the facilities and went around various sections including dormitories, reading rooms, dining and cooking area, etc.
He also enquired about the lodging, boarding, education, sports, medicare and other facilities being provided to the enrolled orphans at the Centres by the Department.
The DC stressed on providing all requisite facilities to the inmates enrolled in Bal Ashram and NariNiketan Shalimar.
