Budgam : The two- day capacity building programme under NashaMukt Bharat Abhiyan concluded Tuesday at Sheikh ulAlam Hall Budgam.
The programme was attended by Asha and Anganwadi workers, school teachers and members from NGOs.
The participants were trained about the ways of identifying the persons who have fallen into the trap of drug addiction. The focus was laid upon creating community oriented frontline workers who shall identify and facilitate the treatment for victims of drug abuse. The attendants were made aware of the treatment facilities available at Budgam.
Syed Sabreena, Counsellor from Addiction treatment centreBudgam and other master trainers sensitized the audience about issues and available possible solutions for drug addiction.
At the conclusion, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Chadoora, M Shahid spoke about the need of grassroots surveillance and social custodians to keep a check on menace of drug abuse.
