Shopian : Awareness cum training programme on Disaster preparedness was held Monday by District Disaster Management Authority, Shopian (DDMA) and SDRF at Saqib Mohiuddin Memorial Govt. Degree College Zainapora here on Monday.
Training was provided by the SDRF team to the students and staff regarding rescue efforts and appropriate responses during any kind of disaster or untoward eventuality.
SDRF team on the occasion gave demonstration sessions on rescue operations through mock drills and the participants were also made aware about the Disaster Management preparedness to avert any kind of hazards.
SDM Zainapora also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the significance of conducting the exercises and awareness programme on disaster management and preparedness.
SDM, Zainapora, Mushtaq Ahmad, Principal, Incharge DMA, officers and officials from SDRF, College besides a large number of students participated in the programme.
