IIM Jammu’s Management Skill Dev Prog for Administrative heads of Polytechnics, ITIs off to a positive start

Jammu :  The inaugural session of the Management skill development program for the administrative heads of polytechnics and ITIs was inaugurated by Sudershan Kumar, Director, Skill Development, J & K in the presence of Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean Academics and Dr. Pankaj Agarwal, Chairperson, Executive Education at Canal Road Campus of IIM Jammu. The Management skill development program is a three-day program commencing from 10th Oct to 12th Oct 2022.

 

According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office of IIM Jammu the training program is designed to help administrative heads of polytechnics and ITIs with a motto to develop management skills with a variety of objectives, ranging from providing visionary leadership and strategic thrust to polytechnic and industrial training institutes leading to academic excellence. The program will enable and lead the academic as well as administrative teams, and diverse workforce, through positive work culture and teamwork throughout the institution, to facilitate higher education leaders to competently deal with the leadership challenges which arise in academic institutions.Dr. Bijoy Rakshitand Dr. V. Raj Kumarare the program directors.

Chief Guest Sudershan Kumar delivered an interesting talk and enlightened the participants by highlighting the challenges faced by local industries in Jammu and discussed on the solutions forward.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Jabir Ali, provided an insight into the various programs offered by the Institute and provided an overview of the collaboration of IIM Jammu with IIT Jammu. He also mentioned the relevance of skill development for local industries.

Dr.Pankaj Agarwal provided detailed insights about Executive Education at IIM Jammu and wished good luck to all the participants.

The administrative coordination of the program is being done by Nadeem Younus Zargar, Administrative Officer ( AO), Executive Education & Consultancy, IIM Jammu.

IIM Jammu is thankful to the Directorate of Skill Development, J&K for entrusting the responsibility of taking up and executing this program.The inaugural session concluded with the playing of the National Anthem.
