Kulgam : Taking governance at the door steps of people to listen to their issues and grievances for timely redressal, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhaton Saturday visited Qaimoo and Khudwani area and listened to demands, issues and grievances of people for early redressal.
During the public interaction programme, people demanded a fire and emergency station in the Khud area, ATM in Khudwani area besides various other developmental requirements of their areas.
All the issues were listened to patiently by the DC and several issues were redressed on the spot.
Later, the DC also visited Indoor stadium at Qaimoo and took stock of the physical status of Indoor stadium.
It was informed that the project has come up with an estimated cost of 4 crore and finishing work will be completed within days.
The DC visited Kwaki Bazar where an alternate road will be developed to decongest the traffic jam. He also visited a proposed site for flood protection bund at river veshow where RDD will construct flood protection bund to avert flood threat to the area. ACR, ACD and other officers were accompanying the DC during the visit.
