Jammu : District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Jammu, in collaboration with DLSA Jammu, organised a legal awareness camp in Village Chhurta, Block Dansal, here on Friday.
As many as 100 women and PRIS of adjoining villages attended the programme.
Advocate DeepaliKapoor, Advocate MamtaKumari and Advocate ShahalaRafiqi were the resource persons who sensitized women about their legal rights. The women were also made aware about the government schemes and services.
On the occasion, the contribution of the pro-active women of the area was recognised.
District Mission Coordinator DHEW, ShagunManchanda, Gender Specialists ArushiJamwal and KhushbooKapthe, Sarpanch Village ChurtaPyareLal Sharma, Sarpanch Village JanakhaKuldeep Kumar, Social Worker Yog Raj and staff of OSC Jammu were also present on the occasion.
